Hotel Imperial - Turín

La limpieza, la tranquilidad, la óptima relación calidad precio y por encima de todo, el personal del hotel: amable, servicial y siempre pendiente de las necesidades de los huéspedes. La situación del establecimiento, algo alejada del centro de la ciudad, queda compensada por las buenas y rápidas comunicaciones con el mismo através de dos lineas de tranvía.

Me parece un hotel excelente por la buena relación -precio. La habitación quizas es un poco justa,pero se duerme bien, buen colchon.El desayuno me parecio muy completo, no comprendo como algunas personas se han podido quejar. Tienes salado ( jamón, queso huevos etc )y para los golosos habia entre otras cosas, 3 tipos de tartas. Con el coche es muy facil de llegar al hotel.La distancia al centro son unos 12 minutos andando

Lo mejor del hotel es la atención de todo el personal que trabaja en el mismo. Comodidad en las habitaciones.

Mi habitación estaba frente a conserjería y se escuchaban los timbres durante la noche.

Considero que en un hotel que se ofrece en una pagina internacional como booking, deberian de poder hablarte al menos en igles. Las habitaciones bastante sucias y pequeñas. Es el tipico hotel de 1 estrella en españa. La hubicacion, demasiado lejas de los puntos de interes.

close to city sights and good value

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was located in a peaceful area. Our room was spacious.

The hotel was a little worn. We didn't get the city map right away. The breakfast was quite sweet for our taste.

The room was fairly clean, otherwise the average features were scandaleous.

The hotel is located in an area were you can easily see signs of robbery : I saw torn wallets with left over id cards just nearby. The rooms were extremely noisy, there is a lot of construction work all around the hotel and the windows are single glass (double would be the minimum). The shower was the smallest I have ever used in my life, you have to be banging on the shower walls every second to get it done. My tv had one German channel working only. The wifi connection was rather poor. The staff did not undestand any language but italian, which I understand but do not speak (I proposed English, French, Spanish, German...).

...Which doesn't make it worth the money. I chose Hotel Imperial because it claimed to be close to Porta Susa and to have wifi. Neither claim was true. It's about a 20 minute walk from the station - not terrible, but longer than advertised, which matters when you are single woman arriving after midnight. The hotel's wifi was not working and needed to be reset - my iPad could see the network, but the network didn't have an ip address - but the man working at the the hotel didn't believe me and kept saying the problem must be with my iPad, rather than with the wireless router, since he could see a green light. So yes, that's why I was unhappy: I paid more than I wanted to for a hotel that didn't live up to its claims. Also, uncomfortable saggy bed; the tv didn't work; the room had a price list for a mini-bar thatdidnt exist; and, no joke, there were short black hairs in the toilet bowl and on the white sheets. I am not super squeamish, but that really shouldn't happen at a hotel that costs this much.

Close to city centre, 24hours service (I arrived 1AM)

Personal almost doesn´t speak English, anyway no issues appeared all what I need we communicated without troubles.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding, far superior to what you normally find in this kind of budget hotel. We got a great deal on Booked.net of 49 euros for 2 people including breakfast. If you can get this kind of deal, it's absolutely worth it. Also, it was wonderful to have a parking space right in front of the hotel.

Not the cleanest room I've been in, and the air conditioning didn't work very well. Also, we had asked for a "letto matrimoniale" as opposed to a "camere doppio" of 2 beds pushed together, but we still got the 2 beds pushed together, which is not ideal. The WiFi didn't work well, and the hotel was much further from the centre than we expected, based on reviews we had read.

The breakfast was ok, given the amount of money we paid in the hotel in the first place. We did not expect it to be better. Opposite the hotel, there is a carrefour express; which was convenient as the hotel was far from everything else so we managed to buy whatever food or drinks we needed and did not have trouble carrying the bags to the hotel.

I hated the hotel! It was terrible! The hotel staff was very rude to us. They refused to do room service saying that the room was untidy and they will only clean it when we leave!! They have not even cared to change the towels!!!.They barely spoke English and we had an extremely hard time communicating. The hotel is far from the metro station, unlike what is stated in its description. It is a very long walk away from the metro station especially when it is raining. The rooms were very small. The beds were very uncomfortable. The bathroom did not have any kind of ventilation whatsoever. There was no minibar in the room. Overall, it was a disaster.

The Imperial is a clean, well managed family hotel. Rooms are well appointed and the breakfast in the back garden is a treat. It isn't however, as the Booked.net description states 'a short walk from Porta Susa Station'. I would recommend catching the 59 or 29 bus from outside the station and getting off along the Via San Donata, near Via Bogetto, especially if you've got heavy luggage.
